Discussion
Our active weather pattern continues today with one clipper system affecting the region for much of the day and then a second system may produce additional snow showers around here later tonight. Snow will likely accumulate 2-4 inches across the NYC metro region by mid-afternoon and then only minor additional accumulations are expected tonight from the possible snow shower activity. Once these systems get out of here, the next couple of days look rather quiet and only moderately cold. Then, at the end of the week and for this weekend, a warming trend will ensue and with it will come a daily threat for showers. In fact, 60 degrees will be within reach by the time Sunday afternoon rolls around. This warm up will be followed by much colder weather early next week.
