Discussion
An area of low pressure will move by to our north today and drag a cold front through the region. There is an area of moisture associated with the frontal system and indeed showers are likely in the region during the mid-day and afternoon hours. This front will then stall to our south and waves of low pressure will ride along the stationary frontal boundary zone over the next couple of days. As a result, the threat for showers will continue later tomorrow and on Friday, but the weekend is looking like it'll feature some decent weather after a damp start early Saturday. Another system is likely to bring more rain to the region on Monday.
