Discussion
Much warmer air will surge into the DC metro region today, but will not advance with full force into the Philly metro region until tomorrow afternoon at which time high temperatures should climb into the mid-to-upper 70’s. The weekend will stay well above normal for this time of year with high temperatures on both days close to the 80 degree mark. While much of the time will be rain-free during this upcoming warm spell, there can be showers or thunderstorms at just about any time over the next few days and they will be especially likely on Saturday afternoon. Next week begins on the warm side, but a cold front will approach the Mid-Atlantic region by mid-week and it should turn much cooler again by the end of next week.
