Discussion
Much warmer air will surge into the DC metro region today and high temperatures will respond by climbing into the low 80's later this afternoon. Friday and the weekend will stay well above normal for this time of year with high temperatures on all three days at or above the 80 degree mark. While much of the time will be rain-free during this upcoming warm spell, there can be showers or thunderstorms at just about any time over the next few days and they will be especially likely on Saturday afternoon. Next week begins on the warm side, but a cold front will approach the Mid-Atlantic region by mid-week and it should turn much cooler again by the end of next week.
