Discussion
Much warmer air will surge into the DC metro region today, but will not advance with full force into the NYC metro region until Saturday at which time high temperatures should climb into the mid-to-upper 70’s. Sunday and Monday will stay on the warm side with highs on both days way up in the 70’s. While much of the time will be rain-free during this warm spell, there can be showers or thunderstorms at just about any time over the next few days and they will be especially likely later Saturday. Next week begins on the warm side, but a cold front will approach the Mid-Atlantic region by mid-week and it is liable to turn much cooler again by the end of next week.
