Discussion
This morning's air mass is noticeably more humid than recent days and with the rise in humidity will be an increased chance for showers and thunderstorms by later in the afternoon. A frontal system has stalled in the southern part of the Mid-Atlantic region and a couple of disturbances will ride along the boundary zone during the next couple of days. As a result, the threat for scattered showers and thunderstorms that begins late today will continue right into Friday and there will be a cooling trend as go through the weekend. Temperatures will reach the mid-to-upper 80's today, but will likely be confined to the upper 70's for highs this weekend.
