Discussion
This morning's air mass is noticeably more humid than recent days and with the rise in humidity will be an increased chance for showers and thunderstorms by the end of the day. A frontal system has stalled in the southern part of the Mid-Atlantic region and a couple of disturbances will ride along the boundary zone during the next couple of days. As a result, the threat for scattered showers and thunderstorms that begins late today will continue right into Friday and there will be a cooling trend as we close out the week. Temperatures will reach the low-to-mid 80's today, but will likely be confined to the upper 70's for highs on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
