Discussion
A strong cool front will approach the region later today generating scattered showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours. Temperatures ahead of the front will climb to the highest levels of the week and the humidity will become quite noticeable by this afternoon. The cool frontal system passes through the area by early tomorrow ushering in another cool air mass just in time for the weekend. In fact, temperatures will hold at below normal levels on both weekend days and there is likely to be occasional rain on Saturday in much of the Mid-Atlantic region adding to the chill in the air.
