Discussion
A strong cool front will approach the region later today generating scattered showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours. While there can be a few strong storms that form later today, some areas may escape entirely with very little or no rainfall during this frontal passage. Temperatures ahead of the front will climb to the 80's and the humidity will become quite noticeable by this afternoon. The cool frontal system passes through the area by early tomorrow ushering in another cool air mass for this time of year and just in time for the weekend. In fact, temperatures will hold at below normal levels on both weekend days and there is likely to be occasional rain on Saturday in much of the Mid-Atlantic region adding to the chill in the air.
