Discussion
After a weekend with winter-like cold, temperatures will moderate noticeably by later today and there should be a significant warm up later in the week with 70 degrees possible on Thursday and Friday. A weak disturbance swinging by to our north this morning produced clouds and scattered rain, but it will push away this afternoon and skies should clear. High pressure will then take control for tonight and early Tuesday, but then yet another disturbance will drop to the southeast from the Great Lakes region and it should produce rain showers in the area later tomorrow and early tomorrow night. Following that second disturbance, Wednesday looks to be quiet, but cool, and then it’ll turn significantly milder on Thursday and Friday ahead of the next cold frontal system. That front is likely to generate showers in the region on Friday and then usher in colder air for the upcoming Easter weekend.
