Discussion

After a weekend with winter-like cold, temperatures will moderate somewhat by later today and there should be a noticeable warm up later in the week with 60 degrees possible on Thursday and Friday. A weak disturbance swinging by to our north this morning produced clouds and showers of rain or snow, but it will push away this afternoon and skies should clear. High pressure will then take control for tonight and early Tuesday, but then yet another disturbance will drop to the southeast from the Great Lakes region and it should produce snow or a mix of rain and snow in the area later tomorrow and early tomorrow night and there is even the chance for some small grassy accumulations. Following that second disturbance, Wednesday looks to be quiet, but chilly, and then it’ll turn significantly milder on Thursday and Friday ahead of the next cold frontal system. That front is likely to generate showers in the region on Friday and then usher in colder air for the upcoming Easter weekend.
