Discussion
Weak high pressure will build into the region today as zonal flow takes over in the upper atmosphere with an upper low moving over the Great Lakes. A strong low pressure system will form in the south-central US by Thursday and this system could generate strong-to-severe thunderstorms in the Tennessee Valley on Thursday.
