Discussion
The cold front that passed through the region on Monday has stalled just offshore and low pressure will ride along its boundary zone over the next 24 hours. This system could generate more showers in the region this evening, but most of its precipitation will stay to our south and east. Upper-level low will then intensify over the Northeast US by Thursday and will likely produce more rain here from tomorrow night into Thursday. The weather does improve some on Friday as we end the work week and it should be quite nice to start the holiday weekend; however, showers threaten for Sunday night and Monday.
