Discussion
A dramatic warm up will begin this weekend in the Mid-Atlantic region and continue into the middle of next week. Temperatures should climb to near 80 degrees for highs this afternoon, low-to-mid 80’s on Saturday, and then approach the 90 degree mark by Sunday afternoon. On Monday and Tuesday of next week, temperatures are likely to climb into the 90's and humidity will become quite noticeable. After that, there is likely to be a bit of a cool down for the Philly metro region thanks to the passage of a back door cold front. One final note, NASA is now scheduled to launch a sounding rocket at Wallops Island, Virginia on Sunday evening between 9:04 and 9:19 PM. Look to the southeastern horizon to see colorful artificial clouds that should be generated as a way of monitoring upper-level winds.
