Discussion
Eclipse day has finally arrived and there will be a few clouds around this afternoon and also the chance for an isolated PM thunderstorm. Cumulus clouds are likely to form by afternoon and there is enough instability to support isolated storms, but nothing on a widespread basis. Any storms that form later this afternoon would dissipate this evening. Special solar eclipse glasses must be worn throughout today's event.
