Discussion

As Harvey gets ready to pound southern Texas with tremendous rainfall, another tropical system is impacting Florida with lots of rain. This tropical wave will have a better chance for intensification this weekend as it begins a slow churn to the northeast along the Southeast US coastline. Heavy rain from this system which would become “Irma” if it reaches tropical storm status, will likely eventually extend from Florida to coastal North Carolina.
