Discussion
A cold front will approach the area late today and then slide through early on Saturday. As a result, there will likely be some shower and thunderstorm activity during the afternoon and nighttime hours and perhaps even some residual activity early tomorrow on an isolated basis. After the frontal passage, a more comfortable air mass will push into the Mid-Atlantic region for later Saturday, Sunday and Monday and we’ll experience lower humidity and rather pleasant temperatures for early August. Another front should cross the region early next week and it could result in another round of showers and thunderstorms late Sunday night and on Monday.
