Discussion
A warm front passed through the region in the overnight hours and it’ll turn warmer for the next few days and higher humidity will lead to occasional downpours in the Mid-Atlantic region. Strong upper-level low pressure is situated over the Midwest and it is combining with a Bermuda High to pump moist air from the tropical Atlantic to the Mid-Atlantic. The threat for showers and thunderstorms will continue right into the weekend and, given the well-saturated grounds, flash flooding could become an increasing problem as the week progresses.
