Discussion
High pressure will stay in control of our weather as we begin the new week and temperatures will be on the cool side despite plenty of sunshine. An upper-level low will intensify over the next 24-48 hours as it slides across the southeastern states and it this will help to spawn a strong surface low pressure system near the Carolina coastline. Its impact will be limited around here and we’ll experience a warming trend going into the mid-week. The overall pattern will remain quite active later this week and we’ll have a couple chances for showers in the Tennessee Valley region, but temperatures should remain on the warm side for much of the second half of the week.
