Discussion
Our extended soaking rain event that began this weekend is not through with us yet as today will feature periods of rain as low pressure intensifies off the Mid-Atlantic coastline. Some of the rain can be heavy at times and it’ll remain unusually chilly for mid-May as temperatures struggle to reach 50 degrees. The threat of showers will continue tonight and a few lingering showers are possible tomorrow as well as upper-level low pressure will be slow to exit the region. With the return of some sunshine on Wednesday, it’ll turn milder, but more showers are possible on Wednesday night as another frontal system arrives in the area.
