Discussion
Our extended soaking rain event that began this weekend is not through with us yet as today will feature periods of rain as low pressure intensifies off the Mid-Atlantic coastline. Some of the rain can be heavy at times and it’ll remain unusually cool for mid-May as temperatures struggle to climb out of the 50’s. The threat of showers will continue tonight and we cannot completely rule out a shower early on Tuesday as upper-level low pressure will be slow to exit the region. With the return of some sunshine on Wednesday, it’ll turn milder, but more showers are possible on Wednesday night as another frontal system arrives in the area.
