Discussion
A strong cold front is passing through the region early today with clouds and lingering showers, but it’ll pave the way for a nice break in the action from the recent very wet weather pattern here in the Mid-Atlantic. Winds will increase noticeably from a northwesterly direction and the humidity will drop sharply later today compared to recent days. High pressure building over southeastern Canada should be strong enough and close enough to produce decent weather around here through much of the upcoming weekend. More showers and thunderstorms will likely return to the Mid-Atlantic region on Monday and Tuesday and temperatures will climb well into the 80's.
