Discussion
High pressure ridging continues to dominate the scene across the Southeast US and we’ll start off the new work week with a couple of hot days. Deeper moisture surges into the region at mid-week as a strong upper-level disturbances slides across the region and our chances for showers and thunderstorms will increase. Meanwhile, the 2019 Atlantic Basin tropical season “officially” began on Saturday, June 1st and there is a disturbance in the southwest Gulf of Mexico that has a chance of strengthening into a named storm in coming days as it moves northward along Mexico’s west coast and then near or along the east coast of Texas.
