Discussion
Low pressure will pull out of the southern states today and intensify as it heads to a position just off the Mid-Atlantic coastline by early tomorrow. There can be occasional light rain here today and the rain should become steadier and heavier from tonight into Saturday. The heaviest rain from this developing system will be across central and coastal New Jersey. There is an outside chance that it gets cold enough around here later tomorrow for the rain to briefly mix with or change to sleet and/or snow in the far northern and western suburbs. Cold and dry weather should follow the storm around here to close out the weekend and then we'll have to watch another system on Monday that will push out of the Gulf of Mexico and towards the east coast.
