Discussion

Low pressure will intensify off the Mid-Atlantic coastline today and push very slowly to the north as it encounters a blocking pattern in the atmosphere. Mixed precipitation this morning should change back to all snow by the mid-day or early afternoon as colder air wraps around the intensifying storm off the Mid-Atlantic coastline. The snow can continue at varying rates through tonight and into early Tuesday with some additional accumulations possible and the winds through this period will be quite strong as well.
