Discussion

It’ll remain hot today in the Mid-Atlantic region, but overall humidity levels should be somewhat reduced compared to yesterday’s high values following the passage of a weak cool front (more like a “dew point” front and not a “temperature” front).  The weekend will feature high heat and humidity with temperatures climbing well into the 90’s on both days and a surge to near 100 degrees is not out of the question in some spots. The next cool frontal system should bring some shower and thunderstorm activity to the region on Monday and its ultimate passage will bring us relief in the temperature department for Tuesday and Wednesday.
