Discussion
Yesterday featured high heat and humidity in the Mid-Atlantic region, but a transition begins today to more comfortable conditions. A frontal system will settle into the area later in the day and become the focus area for new showers and thunderstorms. Any shower or thunderstorm that develops later today and tonight can produce heavy rainfall…watch out for localized flash flooding. A strong cool front will sweep through the region tomorrow night and its passage will usher in a refreshing air mass for Friday, Saturday and Sunday with comfortable temperatures and lower humidity levels.
