Discussion
A strong cool front passed through the region last night ushering in a refreshing air mass for today and the weekend with comfortable temperatures and humidity levels. In fact, it looks like temperatures will remain at comfortable levels through the first half of next week in the Mid-Atlantic region with highs generally in the 70’s. In terms of precipitation, a disturbance over the Great Lakes later this weekend will move in this direction and it can set off some shower activity around here late Sunday night and Monday. This system will help to generate low pressure nearby which can lead to more unsettled conditions on Tuesday and Wednesday to go along with those still comfortable temperatures.
One final note, the Perseid meteor shower peaks later tonight/early tomorrow…there will also be a full (super) moon to contend with in the southern sky.
