Discussion
A strong high pressure system that had its origins up in Canada will continue to dominate the weather scene around here over the next couple of days supplying us with comfortable temperatures and humidity levels. This same high pressure system will push off the eastern seaboard this weekend and a southwesterly flow of air will develop on its back side allowing for an increase in temperatures and overall humidity levels. A weak frontal system could spark some shower/thunderstorm activity in the Mid-Atlantic region from later Sunday into Labor Day Monday.
