Discussion
After a cold frontal passage in the overnight hours, the pressure gradient between the departing low and an incoming high pressure system will tighten today and the result here will be increasingly strong winds from a west-to-northwest direction...gusting to 40 mph or so. A secondary cold front will pass through the area this evening and it will usher in a chilly air mass for the mid-week with temperatures below-normal for the middle of April. It does warm up rather quickly later in the week and the first half of the weekend is likely to feature high temperatures in the upper 70’s although showers may be a threat on Saturday with an approaching cold frontal system.
