Discussion
The two-day respite from the heat ends today and temperatures will soar to the upper 90’s for afternoon highs. In fact, with strong high pressure ridging nearly stationary over the western US, the extreme heat will continue for the next several days. High temperatures on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday can certainly flirt with the 100-degree mark and general rain-free conditions will keep the risk of wildfire on the high side.
