Discussion
An upper-level ridge of high pressure will control our weather through the upcoming weekend, and September will begin with a prolonged heat spell. Temperatures are likely to peak in the middle 90’s for afternoon highs each day of the week and also during the upcoming Labor Day weekend. The chance of showers and thunderstorms will be minimal for the next couple of days , but will tend to increase over the weekend.
