6:00 AM | *April begins with a pretty decent few days*

Paul Dorian

High pressure will stay in control of our weather as we begin the new week and temperatures will be on the cool side despite plenty of sunshine. An upper-level low will intensify over the next 24-48 hours as it slides across the southeastern states and it this will help to spawn a strong surface low pressure system near the Carolina coastline. Its impact will be limited around here and we’ll experience a warming trend going into the mid-week. As a result, there will be an increasing chance of showers over the next 12-18 hours and perhaps a few thunderstorms can mix in as well. The cold front will push through late today and usher in much cooler air for Tuesday, but a warm up will begin at mid-week.
