A warming trend will continue today and temperatures will reach the upper 70’s this afternoon and likely to the 80 degree mark on Friday afternoon. Looking ahead to the weekend, a strong storm will form over the central Plains and its trailing cold front could bring us another round of showers and thunderstorms from late Saturday into Sunday.

The cooler air that pushed into the region a couple of days ago will modify some today and temperatures are likely going to return to the 70’s during the afternoon hours. The warming trend will continue later this week and we’ll return to the 80 degree mark by Friday afternoon. Looking ahead to the weekend, a strong storm will form over the central Plains and its trailing cold front could bring us another round of showers and thunderstorms from later Saturday into Sunday.

A strong cold front pushed through the region last night and today will turn out to be much cooler with afternoon temperatures confined to the 60’s for highs. A stiff breeze will develop as well with N-NW winds likely gusting to 20 mph during the mid-day and afternoon hours. As is often the case later in the spring season, cold snaps will modify rather quickly, and we’ll experience temperatures climbing back to near the 80-degree mark later in the week. Looking ahead, a strong storm will form over the central Plains this weekend and its trailing cold front could bring us a round of showers and thunderstorms from later Saturday into Sunday.

A cold front will approach the region today and bring with it a chance of showers and thunderstorms. In addition, the breeze will kick up ahead of the front and temperatures are likely to surge well up into the 80’s. Following the passage of the front, it’ll become noticeably cooler on Tuesday with highs likely limited to the lower 60’s following today’s 80’s to start the work week.

A warming trend continues today in the Tennessee Valley and it will actually intensify this weekend as high pressure shifts to the east of here. Temperatures will reach the lower 80’s today and then climb into the middle 80’s by Sunday afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will become a threat once again by the early part of next week.

High pressure will push off the coast today and a southerly flow on its backside will boost temperatures to the middle 70’s during the afternoon. A cold front will approach the area later tonight into Saturday and it can generate some shower and thunderstorm activity. The threat for showers or thunderstorms will continue on Sunday and Monday as another front impacts the Tennessee Valley.
