More comfortable for a couple of days, but then heat and humidity return
Paul Dorian
Yesterday’s heat and humidity will be replaced today by a more comfortable air mass thanks to a large high pressure system moving eastward from the Great Lakes. This high pressure system will control our weather into the holiday weekend at which time it should slip off the east coast. The return flow around the high this weekend will bring in hotter and more humid air with high temperatures reaching well up in the 90’s on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Elsewhere, the first tropical storm has formed, Arlene, and it will move from the southwestern Gulf of Mexico into eastern Mexico over the next couple of days. Today- mainly sunny, becoming more comfortable with lowering humidity, mid 80’s
Tonight- mainly clear, pleasant, near 60 for lows
Thurs- mainly sunny, seasonal, low-to-mid 80’s
Fri- mostly sunny, very warm and a bit more humid, upper 80’s
Sat- mainly sunny, hot and humid, slight chance for a thunderstorm, mid 90’s
Sun- partly sunny, hot and humid with a slight chance for a thunderstorm, mid 90’s
Mon- mainly sunny, hot and humid, slight chance for a thunderstorm, low-to-mid 90’s
