Discussion

It’ll turn more humid today and hotter tomorrow, but this heat wave will not be anything like the extreme weather of last weekend. In fact, the worst of the heat and humidity will likely be rather short-lived on Friday as a frontal system will pass through the region by Saturday and this will lower humidities a bit for the weekend. All in all, despite high temperatures at or slightly above 90 degrees, the weekend will be pretty decent overall with plenty of sunshine each day. As far as precipitation is concerned, a shower or thunderstorm is possible late today, tonight and early tomorrow and then likely nothing more than an isolated storm on Saturday. Elsewhere, Tropical Storm Don has formed over the southern Gulf of Mexico and appears to be headed towards SE Texas with some beneficial rains.
