Discussion
High pressure moves into the region today and it’ll turn out to be a day with copious amounts of sunshine and temperatures will rebound into the upper 80’s from the 60’s this morning. The high then shifts to off the east coast on Thursday and this will open the door for a frontal system to approach from the west. Showers and thunderstorms are possible once again on Thursday and Friday and it is possible that this next event will contain enough moisture to generate another inch or more of rainfall by late Friday. The weekend looks pretty decent with lots of sunshine expected on both days and temperatures well up in the 80’s. By Sunday night and Monday another frontal system will approach from the west and this could set off more showers and storms. Elsewhere, the tropics are acting up as we gradually approach the usual peak time of the year and a couple different waves of low pressure will have to be watched over the next several days.
