Discussion
A significant cool down is on the way for the Mid-Atlantic, but it will be accompanied at the onset with showers and perhaps a thunderstorm or two. One cold front will move through the region today and it could spark scattered late day or evening showers and thunderstorms, but a more significant front moves through tomorrow, and it will likely be accompanied by more widespread showers and perhaps a thunderstorm or two. Once that front clears the coast, a large and strong Canadian high pressure system will take control of our weather from Friday through Monday and it will feel like October with crisp days and chilly nights. Elsewhere, Tropical Storm Maria continues on a track that will turn it away from the east coast in much the same fashion as with "Katia".
