Discussion
High pressure will continue to control our weather through Tuesday, but then a significant rain event is likely later Wednesday into Thursday. A storm is now gathering strength over northern Florida and it will spread rain up the east coast by later Wednesday and it has the potential to produce 1-3 inches throughout the Mid-Atlantic region by later Thursday. Once the storm passes by to our north, we’ll have to deal with another frontal system and may not get genuine clearing until the weekend.
