Drier and colder air is advancing into the Mid-Atlantic region on a stiffening NW breeze and there should be nothing more than a couple of sprinkles or snow flurries over the next few hours. By late this afternoon and early this evening clearing skies will take place and temperatures will drop to the upper 20’s in many spots by morning and then will only rebound to the mid 40’s tomorrow afternoon. Similar to last week, however, this cold shot will be short-lived and a warming trend will develop over the weekend with afternoon highs on Sunday once again flirting with the 60 degree mark.
