Discussion
Low pressure is gathering strength to our southwest and it will bring on a decent rain event here from late tomorrow afternoon into early Friday. Very late tonight and early tomorrow there can be a light wintry mix ahead of the main event which will be the steadier and heavier rain from late tomorrow afternoon into early Friday. Total rainfall amounts by noon Friday will likely be in the half to one inch range. The weekend will start off relatively mild but will gradually turn colder with the coldest air moving in by Sunday night. On another topic, the solar storm that bombarded the Earth with radiation yesterday has now subsided, but northern lights would have been difficult to see in any circumstance because of the expected thick cloud cover after dark.
