Discussion
High pressure will temporarily edge northward into our region today, but we’ll then have more frontal systems to deal with over the next several days. To begin with, the threat for rain will increase here late tonight and continue on Thursday as a warm front will approach in the morning and then a cold front should arrive Thursday night. The morning will feature periods of rain and possibly a thunderstorm while the afternoon should just see a residual shower or two. Total rainfall amounts on Thursday could end up near half of an inch. After the cold front passes through the region tomorrow night, it’ll stall out not too far to our south and once this west-to-east boundary zone becomes established, it’ll allow areas of moisture to ride along it over the weekend.
