Discussion

Warmer air is advancing towards us today as we transition away from the chilly weather of recent days to a warmer pattern. As a result, there will be lots of clouds around for today and while the steadiest rain has passed us by to the east there will still be the threat for occasional shower this afternoon. Looking ahead, a series of weak fronts will keep us unsettled right into the weekend with the threat for a shower or thunderstorm from time-to-time. Temperatures by Friday could reach the mid-to-upper 70’s, but this impressive warm spurt will not last too long. Actually, there are signs for some cooler-than-normal air masses to infiltrate the Mid-Atlantic States during the next couple of weeks.
