Discussion
The low pressure area that has been spinning well to our north and east for the last few days will gradually pull away from the area on Thursday; however, a few afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms will once again be a strong possibility as the atmosphere remains just unstable enough for that to happen. High pressure will gradually build in over the Mid-Atlantic to close out the week and will generally control the scene this weekend; however, a disturbance passing by to our north late Saturday, could set off a few thunderstorms across the Mid-Atlantic region from Philly to New York City late Saturday or Saturday night. Temperatures will climb into the 80's on Friday and that will continue through the early part of next week.
