High pressure builds in on Thursday, but another cold front will follow quickly by late Friday. After a chilly start, it’ll turn milder this afternoon as high pressure pushes off the Mid-Atlantic coastline and low-level winds shift to a southwesterly direction. A cold frontal system will approach on Wednesday and bring with it a good chance of showers in the Mid-Atlantic region. It’ll cool down again on Thursday behind that frontal passage and then an even stronger cold frontal passage will take place later Friday. Windy and much cooler weather will close out the work week following the passage of a cold frontal system late Thursday. High pressure will build eastward into the eastern US this weekend and it will help to keep us dry, breezy and cool for the early part of November.
