7:00 AM | *An unsettled stretch of weather begins today and some of the rain can be heavy at times next few days*

Paul Dorian

The overall weather pattern becomes quite unsettled today and there will likely be showers and thunderstorms to deal with from today through the upcoming weekend. A storm system with attendant front will trek slowly to the east over the next couple of days from the Rockies to the Tennessee Valley and this combined with a moist southerly flow of air will bring us occasional showers and thunderstorms and some of the rain can be heavy at times. Nice weather is likely to return to the Tennessee Valley by the early part of next week with the return of sunshine to go along with warm conditions.

Paul Dorian

The weather pattern starts off the new work week on a rather quiet note with unseasonably warm conditions, but it’ll turn much more unsettled by mid-week. The combination of some Gulf moisture flowing northward by the middle of the week and multiple upper-level waves trekking eastward across the SW US will contribute to an increasing chance at showers and thunderstorms and it looks like that threat will stick around into the late week time period.

7:00 AM | *Warm and wet pattern to continue through the weekend*

Paul Dorian

Unseasonably warm conditions will continue in the Tennessee Valley and the overall wet weather pattern will continue as well. A frontal boundary zone will advance towards us as we head towards the end of the work week. As a result, the chances for showers and thunderstorms will increase and any storm over the next couple of days can produce heavy rainfall given the high levels of moisture in this abnormally warm air mass.
