The new week will start off quite nice with NW flow aloft, plenty of sunshine and comfortable highs in the lower 70’s. The weather will become more unsettled by mid-week and showers and thunderstorms will become likely on Wednesday and perhaps arrive as early as late tomorrow night. Later this week, heights will increase in the upper part of the atmosphere and our moderate temperatures will become much more summer-like with highs near 90 degrees possible by the weekend.

The overall weather pattern remains quite unsettled today and there will likely be showers and thunderstorms to deal with from today through the upcoming weekend. A storm system with attendant front will trek slowly to the east over the next couple of days from the Rockies to the Tennessee Valley and this combined with a moist southerly flow of air will bring us occasional showers and thunderstorms and some of the rain can be heavy at times. Nice weather is likely to return to the Tennessee Valley by the early part of next week with the return of sunshine to go along with warm conditions.
