9:45 AM | Significant east coast rain event threat continues for the mid-week
Paul Dorian
High pressure will continue to dominate the weather picture for the next couple of days, but a significant rain event is likely for the Mid-Atlantic region Wednesday into Thursday. Low pressure will develop near the SE coast early this week and will then spread rain up the east coast during the mid-week time period with the greatest threat for significant rainfall of up to 1-3 inches likely to occur in the Mid-Atlantic between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning. Temperatures will actually approach record high levels today and tomorrow in parts of the Mid-Atlantic, but will be much cooler during and after the mid-week rain event.
