3:00 PM | Once again...scattered showers and storms closing in

Our unsettled weather pattern continues today with a warm lower atmosphere and a cold upper atmosphere and there are now scattered showers and thunderstorms popping up on radar. These showers and storms are rotating from the northwest in the general direction of the I-95 corridor. From mid-afternoon on through the evening hours, this threat for showers and storms will continue in the DC, Philly and NYC metro regions and some of the storms can be quite strong with gusty winds, hail and brief downpours. The threat should finally diminish later on tonight and Friday promises to have the smallest threat for rain of this entire week.
