A strong cold front passed through the region on Sunday night and ushered in colder air to start the new work week and a secondary cold front will come through later today. Winds will noticeably increase as the front pushes through today and there can be a couple of isolated rain showers. The next couple of nights will feature the coldest air of the season so far with overnight lows in the 20’s. The chill will ease by later this week and the weekend could turn out to be quite decent for this time of year.

The unseasonably warm conditions of last week and the earlier part of this week will be but a memory in the Mid-Atlantic region and Northeast US by the time we get to the middle of next week. One strong cold front will arrive on Sunday night and usher in a chilly air mass for the middle of November as we begin the new work week and then a secondary cold front will push through by late Tuesday and pave the way for an even colder air mass by mid-week. It turned cooler yesterday in the Mid-Atlantic region following the passage of a slow-moving cold front and it’ll turn even cooler on Saturday as Canadian high pressure builds into the area. Another cold front will cross the region on Sunday night and it’ll lead to even chillier weather by the middle of next week.

High pressure will build over the region on Friday and into the weekend and it’ll be noticeably cooler than the record-warmth experienced here earlier in the week.
